The Mitsubishi A6M2, commonly known as the “Zero,” was a renowned fighter aircraft in the early stages of World War II. It was designed for the Imperial Japanese Navy by engineer Jir Horikoshi in 1940, with the designation “Zero” originating from the Japanese calendar. Despite its exceptional speed and maneuverability, the Zero had limited armor. This COBI building brick set replicates the Mitsubishi A6M2 with 347 high-quality components, including a pilot figurine. The model features movable parts such as a propeller and ailerons, rubber-tired caster wheels for takeoff or landing, and an openable cockpit with a detailed pilot figure. High-quality prints are used for the aircraft’s markings, eliminating the need for stickers. The set includes a special display stand and a nameplate, making it an attractive display piece for history and aviation enthusiasts.
