Somewhere on a doomed and distant planet, life has arisen, vying for supremacy until the worlds inevitable end. The goal of the game is to collect the most points before the world ends. Accumulate points by playing Traits for your Doomlings species, making them more adaptable, resilient, and mischievous. While your Doomlings assert their dominance, Catastrophes will befall the planet, causing setbacks for every competing species. When the third Catastrophe inevitably occurs, the world ends, and the Doomlings with the strongest Traits get to look the Apocalypse in the eye and declare… I got the most points!

Throughout the game, players draw Trait cards from a communal deck and play them for points. Traits can also have special abilities and bonuses, allowing players to build a wide variety of winning combinations. The game is played in rounds of Age cards, which have varying rules that players must follow. But beware, hidden within the Ages are Catastrophes: special rounds with negative effects that force players to adapt their strategy.

Doomlings adds a fun twist to hand management by introducing the Gene Pool mechanic. Your Gene Pool is your hand size: its unique to you and can increase or decrease through special Traits or even Catastrophes. Doomlings includes 6 colorful Gene Pool counter cards, which elegantly track how many cards you should hold at the end of your turn. There are opportunities to increase your Gene Pool (hand size), which can give your species an edge by providing a larger pool of Traits to choose from each turn.

Doomlings is a lightweight card game for 2-6 players that can be played casually among friends or competitively by game-enthusiastic families. Since there are no duplicate cards and the Age cards are randomized, no two games are ever the same. The game can be learned in 5 minutes or less, but dont be fooled: with 100+ unique Traitsin Red, Blue, Green, Purple, and Colorlessand rare, powerful Dominant Traits, there are countless combinations to discover.

A typical game takes between 20-45 minutes, depending on the number of players and the course of events. Advanced expansion packs are also available, including a Hidden Objective expansion for a fun twist to the game. Doomlings requires no dice or additional pieces, just a joyful embrace of the worlds inevitable end!
