Illuminati (Second Edition) is a strategic card game where secret societies compete to take over the world through manipulation, alliances, and pure opportunism. It’s a party game with a lot of interaction, where negotiation and timing are often more important than pure luck.

Each player leads their own conspiracy and tries to take control of various groups in society everything from media and corporations to more eccentric interest groups. By building a network of influence, you create your own power base, while also trying to stop your opponents from doing the same.

The game revolves around combining the right cards, utilizing your special abilities, and reading the table. Alliances can form quickly and break even faster. It’s a game where you sometimes win by cooperating… until it’s no longer profitable. The political and satirical tone often makes the game both strategic and subtly humorous.

This second edition has been updated for a modern context, with new themes and groups that reflect today’s society. This gives the game a contemporary feel, while retaining the core of the original.

Illuminati is best suited for players who enjoy strategic games with a lot of interaction, negotiation, and a certain dose of chaos especially in groups that appreciate both tactics and humor.
