Red pandaby Schleich. Hand painted animal figurine by Scheich.

Model 14833.

3.42″ x 0.98″ x 1.37“.

The red panda is a small mammal that lives in the eastern Himalayas and south-west China. It eats mainly bamboo. In the same way as the red panda from Schleich Wild Life, at first glance the animal looks like a cross between a raccoon, a fox and a cat. And despite its name it isnt a panda. A new animal family was created for the red panda, with the scientific name Ailurus.

Fun fact: When red pandas nap they place their bushy tail protectively over their face.

Schleich products are made of various plastics and dyes, which are carefully selected to meet the respective requirements. Most typically plastics used are polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), in addition to other plastics typical for toys. Even the material suppliers are subject to strict controls by our quality officers. The dyes used are optimally adapted to the different types of plastic and demonstrate top-rate mechanical and chemical resistance. They ensure the high durability of Schleich products and make all Schleich pieces saliva and sweat proof as well as abrasion-resistant, and thus ensure that they are completely safe for playing with. Only once a product meets fully all international laws, standards and guidelines for toys is it released for production. All Schleich articles and materials comply with the national and international toy requirements applicable worldwide, as well as the new European Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC and DIN EN 71.

Recommended for 3+.

We love Schleich’s realistic animal figures, a quality toy that stimulates the child’s imagination as well as teaching them about animals and wildlife.
